Fader

Drag up/down to set your level.

Pan

Drag the knob to pan, or tap PAN to jump Left/Center/Right. Double-tap the knob (Option-click on a laptop) to snap straight back to Center. In Channel View on a laptop, P does the same Left/Center/Right jump for whichever channel is selected, and Command+Left/Right nudges its pan one step at a time instead.

+ / − buttons

Tap to nudge by your step size (set further down this screen). On a laptop, hold Option while clicking for a finer 0.1dB nudge instead.

Groups

Tap a group's name to show just its channels; tap again to see everyone. Long-press a group's name (or Option-click on a laptop) to set one level for the whole group at once.

Pin a channel

Press and hold a channel's name for about a second and a half (or Option-click it on a laptop) to keep it fixed at the edge of the screen while you scroll. Do it again to unpin. In Channel View on a laptop, T instantly pins/unpins whichever channel is selected, no confirmation needed.

Ask for help

Tap the headset icon any time to send your engineer a quick note. It pulses until they've seen it.

Arrow keys (Channel View, on a laptop)

Left/Right selects the previous/next channel, Up/Down nudges its level by your step (Option held: the finer 0.1dB step; Shift held: a coarser 5dB step). In Horizontal layout the axes swap — Up/Down selects, Left/Right nudges. With a group isolated (see Groups above), the same keys step between groups and nudge the whole group instead; Escape clears the isolation. Press G to isolate the selected channel's own group, same as tapping its chip — press again to go back to everyone.

Laptop tip: wherever you see "Option-click" above, that's the Option key on a Mac or Alt on Windows, held while you click — it's the shortcut throughout this app for a finer or more direct action in place of the everyday tap.

Virtual Groups

Channels in the same group get the same strip color for a Musician, plus one +1dB/-1dB nudge that moves every member's send level together.

Go Online

Pick a console to connect to. Your offline plan stays intact and can be pushed once connected.

Intelli-Groups Keywords

Checked top to bottom — a channel lands in the first group whose keywords match, so put more specific groups above more general ones (drag ⠿ to reorder). Keywords are comma-separated and match at the START of a word — "AG" won't match inside "TAG1", but does match "AG1"/"AG 1" and "Slap" matches "SlapDLY" as well as "Slap DLY". Edits here are staged — nothing takes effect until Update All (or a row's own Update button once it's changed).

Exclusions — always ignored

Channels whose name contains any of these words are never auto-grouped, no matter what else matches.

Set Up Console for OSC

Check network

The console and the computer running the bridge (node bridge.js) must be on the same subnet.

Add as DiGiCo Pad

Press add device and choose DiGiCo Pad — not "other OSC" or "Generic OSC Device". Only the Pad type gets the console's real iPad protocol (needed for names/full state); plain OSC devices never receive them. Tick Enable for the row. The command set in the app must match — set it to iPad.

Load the command set

In the bottom-right of the External Control panel, press Load and pick the command set for your console family (e.g. SD8/SD9/SD11 vs SD5/SD7/SD10/Quantum). Skipping this is the most common reason a Pad device connects but never sends back names or values — the console has no command table for that row yet. Only one set should be loaded at a time; use Clear All first if unsure what's loaded.

Enter Bridge IP

Set the bridge computer's IP as the Remote Host — not the console's IP. The bridge IP appears in the app's network scan.

Configure Ports

Console listens on → Send Port (TX) in the app (default: 8000)
Console sends feedback to → Receive Port (RX) in the app (default: 9000)

Note: Menu paths may vary slightly by firmware version. After saving settings on the console, disconnect and reconnect once. Only one DiGiCo Pad device can be enabled console-wide at a time — if the real iPad app or another bridge is also enabled, disable it first or this one will get nothing back.

Helpful Shortcuts

Faders

Option-click any fader to jump straight to your configured level (Settings → Faders, default 0dB). Turn on "4th Step" there and repeated Option-clicks instead cycle −10 → −5 → 0 → your level. If 0dB Snap is on, dragging near unity snaps you straight to it.

Pan

Double-click or Option-click a pan slider to snap it back to Center. Tap the PAN label to cycle Left/Center/Right instead.

EQ

Option-click a band's gain slider, or its dot on the graph, to flatten just that band to 0dB. Option-drag a Bell band's dot on the graph to adjust its Q instead of frequency/gain. Same Option-click-to-flat works on Graphic EQ band sliders too.

Fold sections

Option-click any fold arrow or section header — Fader Overview groups, Custom Views/Layout sections, Settings sections — to fold or unfold ALL of them at once instead of just the one you clicked.

Switch tabs

Option+Left/Right cycles through the main tab bar in whatever order it's currently in. Drag a tab to reorder the bar itself — the shortcut follows the new order.

Step through channels

With a channel selected on Fader Overview, Aux Sends, Matrix, Custom Faders, or Layout, Left/Right steps to the previous/next channel. On Fader Overview, Up/Down instead jumps to the same channel number in the previous/next section (Inputs, Aux, Group/Matrix Outputs, Control Groups, Multis) — Option+Up/Down there nudges the fader in fine 0.1dB steps. On the Selected Channel tab or the Channel Detail overlay, it's Option+Shift+Left/Right instead — plain Option+Left/Right stays the tab-switcher above even there.

Mute / Solo / Pan / Detail

With a channel selected, M/S mute/solo it (Fader Overview and Custom Faders/Layout only — Aux Sends/Matrix show send levels, not a channel's own mute/solo). P steps its pan through Left/Center/Right (Input Channels only). D opens Channel Detail for it, wherever a Detail button exists for that strip.

Profiles & Macros

Right-click (press-and-hold on a touchscreen) a saved console profile or macro card to jump straight to editing it, instead of hunting for its edit button.

Reorder by dragging

Tabs, Fader Overview groups, and Custom View/Layout rows all support drag-and-drop reordering directly, no separate "move" buttons needed.

Option/Alt-click: the Option key on a Mac or Alt on Windows, held while you click — the one modifier this whole app uses for "jump/reset/apply-to-all" instead of the everyday single click, on faders, pan, EQ and fold arrows alike.

Global Set to Default

Select a channel type, then apply a value to every channel of that type in one click.

OSC Diagnostics

Test raw OSC traffic with other tools, independent of any console connection. Uses its own connection to the bridge below.

Our App is designed with privacy in mind. It operates entirely locally on your device.
